"What I found to be most beneficial about personal training was learning how to work out more efficiently by utilizing multiple muscle groups at once while doing an exercise. Like engaging your core while doing arm exercises or improving balance while working the leg muscles.  This allows me to get more out of my workout in less time.  Everyone can always use more time for other things and cutting down my workout allows me more free time in the day while still taking care of myself.  Also working with a personal trainer can motivate you, challenge you, give you variety in workouts to prevent boredom and plateaus and make you more accountable to getting to the gym."--Christine Lee, 10/28/09

 

"Here is a list of benefits of personal training sessions:  1. Core Stability. - I have a list of herniated discs both in my neck and my back. Working with a trainer has allowed my to strengthen my mid-section and reduce the risk of injury to my back.  2. Balance. - I work on construction sites - mainly on new high rises that require me to get from place to place with limited access and am also required to walk on high beams at high elevations. Doing stability and balance exercises in my sessions allows be to maintain balance with ease.
3. Performing everyday movements with ease. - Before taking PT sessions I would come home from work (I work in a profession that requires lifting) and have a sore back.  Since taking sessions I not only find preforming everyday tasks - such as lifting - easier, My back feels great at the end of the day.
4. Focus. - Quite simply, Having a personal coach to push you to your limits - and find new ones - makes reaching my goals seem possible. Each session is a new challenge. I am always doing something different every week."--Brian Misek, 10/27/09
